Matsumoto Trading is actively involved in the export of nutritional supplements for health and beauty as well. In this exhibition we exhibited green juice, vinegar drink, collagen, blend tea, green tea powder. Green juice (Aojiru) containing vitamin, dietary fiber, and minerals was of high interest to many visitors sampled it.
This exhibition is held once every two years and is the largest food exhbition in Asia. HOFEX 2011 welcomed a total of 33,409 visitors in a lively atmosphere from 86 countries and regions.This is the third consecutive time for us to participate in it. We got many orders and inquiries during it, and are glad that it generates prompt and tangible results in orders and shipments after the exhibition and we have high expectations for future expansion in sales. We focus on Hong Kong market as a main market for our exports, thus this exhibition is the best business platform which provides us the opportunity to achieve our goal and exchange information with the customers.
This food product exhibition was held at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. Matsumoto Trading's display focused on Japanese tea and gourmet snacks. At the booth, there was a demonstration of green tea (roasted green tea), and we received a high level of interest in Japanese tea from buyers, such as wholesalers and retailers, even though they are consumers of high-quality Taiwanese tea. Matsumoto Trading will continue to promote the expansion of outlets in the Taiwanese market.
This mammoth exhibition takes place in Hong Kong, where further expansion of demand for Japanese food products is expected. Our company mainly exhibited Japanese processed foods (aseptic-packaged cooked rice, savory toppings for ochazuke rice,* Japanese green tea, and snack foods such as crackers and sweets). This was a meaningful exhibition attended by buyers from many of the major retail stores, and it gave us an opportunity to get a clear picture of current consumption trends in Hong Kong while taking orders for our products.
* A simple meal pairing rice with green tea (like “cereal & milk”).
This market research project targeting the Saudi Arabian market for rice crackers was conducted by the Rice Crackers Subcommittee of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Export Dynamism Stimulus Project for the promotion of exports of processed food products. Al Nukaly International Trading Co., our sole agent in the Middle East, has imported and sold Japanese-made rice crackers in Saudi Arabia for many years, and they welcomed members of the research committee from Japan and gave full support to this market research.
